According to the official site, entry is free:

Free days are likely to be busier, so arrive at opening time (08:30); see visit tips.

What is the Villae Pass?

The Villae Pass is valid for 72 hours from the first entry and covers three sites: Hadrian’s Villa, Villa d’Este and the Sanctuary of Hercules Victor. It costs €30 (€4 for ages 18-25). It suits visitors who want to see both villas in Tivoli over a couple of days. Read the full guide to the Villae Pass.

What is Villae 365?

Villae 365 is a personal ticket for the same three sites, with unlimited entries for 12 months from first use. It costs €40 (€10 for ages 18-25). It is not valid for events that have a dedicated ticket.

Where do you buy official tickets online?

The official online ticket office is Midaticket. The Pass is sold on its own subdomain, villae.midaticket.com, as indicated on the official page. There is also a ticket office at the entrance, at Largo Marguerite Yourcenar 1.

Booking details and ticket office contacts (prenotazionivillae@rearonline.it and villaadriana@rearonline.it) are listed on the official site.

Are there special openings?

Yes, occasionally. The institute has announced evening openings at €1, such as the European Museum Night and the European Heritage Days in 2026, and a temporary schedule change with a €10 reduced rate on one September day. These are one-off events; check the Villae news page before you travel.

Can you visit from Rome with a guided tour?

Yes. If you prefer not to organise transport, there are guided tours from Rome that combine Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa. We found two options, with “from” prices that vary by date:

You can book them with the buttons on this page. Prices change, so check the current price before booking. Compare these with going independently in tours from Rome. If you go on your own, getting there explains the metro and Cotral bus (regional bus company) route.

Should I buy a single ticket or a pass?

Plan the combination with Hadrian’s Villa and Villa d’Este in one day, and see Villa d’Este for its own information.
